MENTOR

JVC cannot exist without the selfless dedication of neighbours who help the local JV communities in various ways. “Support Persons” are dedicated lay or religious people who volunteer to spend regular time with JVs during their year. In the beginning the Support Person visit weekly, which then extends to monthly meetings. Caring neighbours invite JVs over for dinner or invite them to local community activities. Involvement from local people helps JVs to feel welcomed and rooted in their new communities. To find out how you can support a JV community near you, please email info@jesuitvolunteers.ca.
